Project Governance and Technology Delivery for a Regulatory Data Programme

Tier 1 investment bank | Data, digital & technology | Private sector

The challenge: The regulatory data team in a Tier 1 investment bank needed to improve governance and delivery capability for a core technology programme responsible for managing the bank's information lifecycle and responding to regulatory data requests. A key problem was the disconnect between technology delivery and business architecture.

What New Link Consulting did: New Link Consulting established robust project governance, including risk, issue and status reporting, identified inter-workstream dependencies, selected and implemented in-house and third-party technology solutions, installed a Design Authority to align business and technology architecture decisions, managed the technology Programme Management Office function, carried out system suitability analysis and vendor selection, and oversaw engineering plans and User Acceptance Testing.

The outcome: Robust risk management for project delivery, significantly improved communication between technology and the business, improved plan alignment and architecture decisions, and all technology deliveries successfully implemented to the client's expectations.
